From equipment data to a usable application

A telemetry platform needs to account for unreliable connections, event timing, data quality, and the people who respond to alarms. I work on the application, data, and cloud components that turn those inputs into useful screens and workflows.

Relevant experience

I architected and led development of an industrial SCADA ecosystem spanning device connectivity, telemetry, alarms, visualization, analytics, and cloud infrastructure. Related internal applications supported field operations, time tracking, fleet management, and reporting.

Where should processing happen?

Devices, gateways, local services, and cloud systems have different responsibilities. Connectivity, latency, data volume, and recovery requirements help determine where processing belongs. We review those constraints before choosing the architecture.

Scope of controls work

My focus is software architecture, connectivity, data, cloud services, and operational applications. PLC programming and safety-control engineering require the appropriate specialists. Their interfaces and responsibilities need to be explicit in the project.

Can this connect to ERP or field-service systems?
